Experts and business representatives from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other institutions believe that it is necessary to promote modified plastic technology under the pressure of high costs currently facing the plastics industry. The plastics industry should take a solid step forward in modifying plastics.
Plastic modification is the addition of relevant modifiers to large batches of general-purpose resins, which are physically, chemically, or mechanically modified to improve or increase their functions in electrical, magnetic, optical, thermal, anti-aging, flame retardant, mechanical properties, etc. Aspects meet the requirements for use under special conditions. Modified plastics are a plastics industry that involves a wide range of technology, high technological content, and can create significant economic benefits.
The ABS resin filled masterbatch developed by Juyinghuidian was introduced in this training class. The price is lower than that of ABS special materials, but it can play a role as a special material after adding, which significantly reduces the production cost of ABS.
Another kind of woven bag used for coating and filling masterbatch overcomes the disadvantages of using common filling masterbatch to destroy the cohesiveness and strength of the coating film, resulting in a decrease in product quality. The quality is stable and the plasticity is super strong. The amount of addition can reach 10 %-15%, can greatly reduce the cost of woven bags. The masterbatch can also significantly improve the performance of ordinary plastics, making it a high value-added product. Using this masterbatch to modify ordinary polypropylene plastic can make it a special material for car bumpers. This kind of special material is a few thousand dollars higher than the ordinary plastic price per ton.
Modified plastics undoubtedly have broad prospects. However, experts also pointed out that there are still some problems in this industry in China. Plastics manufacturers in the research and development of modified plastics, "each battle," lack of professional and industrialized degree of higher modified plastics manufacturers, it is difficult to form a modified plastic brand. At the same time, the existing varieties of modified plastic products are single and the market segmentation is not strong. Enterprises cannot develop new products in time according to changes in market demand. In addition, some modified plastic products do not yet have national standards, which also affects the market's normative development.
