Haima M8 will be priced from 100,000 in the next year

The reporter learned from Haima Motors last week that after the launch of the Cavalier SUV, Haima’s first Class B sedan, the M8, will be available in September next year and is expected to start selling for 100,000 yuan. In addition to the M8, hippocampus will also launch the new A-Class sedan M3 next year, as well as a new SUV based on the Knight platform.

Li Weisheng, deputy general manager of Haima Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., said that after carding adjustment, Haima has classified all its sedan products under the “M” series. For example, the listed A0 sedan cupid is actually M2, and next year it will launch M3 and M8, 2014. There will also be M5, M6, M7 and other cars, covering all market segments.

M8 is a new B-Class sedan based on the Knights platform, its length and width up to 4845 × 1829 × 1473mm, wheelbase up to 2800mm. The new car will be equipped with in-cylinder direct injection and turbocharged engines independently developed by Haima, including 1.8T and 2.0L power, and will also be fitted with a 6-speed automatic/manual transmission. Compared with the previous models of hippocampus, the M8's greatest feature is the use of a number of smart technologies. For next year's new A-Class M3, Haima’s position is to replace Haifuxing’s products in the future. It is expected to be listed at the end of the second quarter of the first quarter of next year, priced at 60,000-80,000 yuan.

Li Weisheng said that in the future, hippocampus will further refine the subdivision range between A0 and B-class vehicles, while maintaining the speed of the launch of three new models each year. The sales plan for the next year will increase by 50% year-on-year.
