I. Overview
Our xenotime resources are mainly distributed in Guangdong, Hunan, Guangxi, Jiangxi and other places. Among the dozens of factories and mines producing gypsum mines in China, only the Guangdong Xueshan Phosphorus Ore Mine is an independent deposit dominated by xenotime.
Phosphonite is the same as monazus. Because it is produced with other minerals, it is mostly re-selected and enriched, and then recovered from heavy sand by other beneficiation methods.
Second, the nature of the ore
The granite weathering crust deposit of the Xueshan Phosphorus ore deposit in Guangdong. The content of xenotime in the ore is relatively high, and the associated useful minerals are monazite and zircon ; the main gangue minerals are feldspar , quartz and biotite .
The study of ore material composition shows that the rare earth elements in the ore are relatively dispersed, and the rare earths account for only 45% in the form of xenotime. The remaining rare earths exist in the form of monazite, and most of them exist in the dispersed form in the gangue minerals. .
   Third, the process
Guangdong Xueshan Phosphorus Ore Dressing Process (Fig. 1): Under the condition of ore grinding to -1 mm, the shaker is used to rough the tail; the coarse concentrate is selected by two shakers to obtain the mixture of xenotime and monazite. Concentrate; Subsequently, the two were separated by a separate magnetic separation method to obtain a phosphonium ore concentrate and a monazite concentrate containing 39.90% of Y 2 O 3 , respectively.
