The sanitation trucks purchased by Xicheng District Municipal City Committee consisted of 10 one-ton small garbage trucks, six 3-ton, and five-ton compressed garbage trucks.

As to why the two types of sanitation vehicles were purchased, the relevant person in charge of the Xicheng District Municipal City Appearance Committee told the reporter: “The garbage sorting work in the pilot community is mainly to classify the household garbage and other garbage and then transport it through the sanitation vehicle. Garbage classification to achieve garbage reduction and environmental protection is a long chain: the first link is the classification of household food waste and other wastes; the second link is the classification of kitchen waste and other waste; 3rd The link is to transport the kitchen waste and other garbage to the medium-sized sanitation vehicle through the small sanitation vehicle; the fourth link is to transport the classified garbage to the garbage compression station by the medium-sized sanitation vehicle; the fifth step is to sort the garbage by the garbage compression station. The City Sanitation Group will transport daily garbage to Datong Transfer Station for post-processing, and then transport it to a unified landfill in the city through a large garbage truck. The 1 ton mini-sanitation vehicle we purchased is mainly used for this purpose. The garbage will be loaded into the medium-sized garbage truck and transported to the garbage compression station through the medium garbage truck. This type of sanitation vehicle is mainly used for collection and transportation in the community and then transported to a garbage compression station."

It is understood that Beijing has increased the implementation of waste classification since 10 years ago. The rubbish bags and garbage bins purchased by the government are distributed to the residents of the pilot community. Then, garbage bins with garbage classification labels are set up in the district to increase the execution of garbage sorting. At the same time, it is financed to purchase the sanitation trucks related to garbage sorting work for transportation, so as to ensure that all links of garbage sorting do not “fall off the chain”. In the 10th year, Beijing has completed the construction of a pilot project for some garbage classification pilots. This year, the city will complete the construction of 1,200 garbage sorting pilot communities. For the source of funds for this work, the relevant person in charge of Xicheng District Municipal City Committee stated that it is mainly responsible for 40% in the city and 60% in the district.

Garbage bags, rubbish bins, and sanitation vehicles required for garbage sorting work are fully equipped to complete the construction of pilot communities within the city as soon as possible.
