Shanxi: Community First-Aid General Knowledge of First Eyewitnesses

Shanxi: Community Popularity "First Eyewitness" First Aid Knowledge Diesel Generator | Diesel Generator Price / 2012-05-06

Taiyuan, May 5th, 2010 On the 5th, more than 20 first-aid experts from the emergency center in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, walked into the community to explain to the people in the community how to rescue the wounded in the event of an accident. "I hope everyone will become the guardian of life. In case of emergency, we can save others and also protect ourselves." Tang Xinyu, deputy director of Taiyuan Emergency Center, told reporters.
In the aftermath of casualties, gold rescued for four minutes became the world's accepted rescue concept. 120 Gao Li, Head of Nursing Department of the First Aid Center introduced that “Heart and respiratory arrest patients receive cardiopulmonary resuscitation within 4 minutes and the survival rate is up to 50%; within 4 to 6 minutes, the survival rate drops to 10%; more than 10 In minutes, the patient can hardly save."
“When the disaster occurred, the first time people rushed to the scene were often ordinary people, but these 'first eyewitnesses' could only wait after dialing 120. If they can master the rescue, it will save more lives. "Tang Xinyu said.
However, according to public information, the prevalence rate of first aid knowledge among citizens in the United States has reached 25%, and most countries in Europe are between 8% and 10%. However, the prevalence of first aid knowledge in China is not optimistic. It is only about 0.9%.
To cultivate the ability of the whole society to save itself and save each other, at the dawn of “512” Nurses Day, the Taiyuan Emergency Center organized the center's experts to come to the Binhe Community to explain how to dial 120, how to rescue in a minute and simulate it. Operation, one-on-one instruction.
It is understood that 120 as a team of first-aid experts, in addition to community training, will also include college students, miners and other industry groups into the training system, as a rescue reserve force. Tang Xinyu said that this type of training will be normalized afterwards and establish a sense of public safety and social responsibility in society. (Finish)

Brake Pads

Brake pads convert the kinetic energy of the vehicle to thermal energy through friction. Two brake pads are contained in the brake caliper, with their friction surfaces facing the rotor. When the brakes are hydraulically applied, the caliper clamps or squeezes the two pads together onto the spinning rotor to slow and stop the vehicle. When a brake pad heats up due to contact with the rotor, it transfers small amounts of its friction material onto the disc, leaving a dull grey coating on it. The brake pad and disc (both now having the friction material), then "stick" to each other, providing the friction that stops the vehicle.

In disc brakes, there are usually two brake pads per disc rotor. These are held in place and actuated by a caliper affixed to the wheel hub or suspension upright. Racing calipers, however, can utilize up to six pads, with varying frictional properties in a staggered pattern for optimum performance. Depending on the properties of the material, the weight of the vehicle and the speeds it is driven at, disc wear rates may vary. The brake pads must usually be replaced regularly (depending on pad material) to prevent brake fade. Most brake pads are equipped with a method of alerting the driver when this needs to be done. A common technique is manufacturing a small central groove whose eventual disappearance by wear indicates the end of a pad's service life. Other methods include placing a thin strip of soft metal in a groove, such that when exposed (due to wear) the brakes squeal audibly. A soft metal wear tab can also be embedded in the pad material that closes an electric circuit when the brake pad wears thin, lighting a dashboard warning light.
