Mitsubishi Heavy Industries said on the 12th that the company has developed a 155,000 CBM-class LNG ship - "EXTREM" adapted to the ultra-Panama era.
The ship type improves the strength of the hull, maintains the size of the original 147K LNG ship, increases the loading capacity of LNG by 8000 CBM, and has a higher fuel efficiency than the original ship type.
The design of the completed "EXTREM" has a length of 288m, 49m and a draught of 11.5m. It is a 138,000 GT, and the total capacity of four Moss-type gas tanks is 155,000 CBM. The LNG ship is designed to reduce the resistance of wind pressure. It also simplifies the complicated structure and introduces a new steam turbine to improve fuel consumption.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries makes full use of the advantages of the Moss-type gas tank structure to maximize the load and differentiate it, competing with Korean shipyards.
Pulsed Laser
