Brazil's mid-term review of China's production of glyphosate anti-dumping

According to the Ministry of Commerce, on May 19, the Brazilian Trade Protection Agency announced the No. 22 Announcement of the Foreign Trade Secretariat of Brazil's Ministry of Development Industry and Foreign Trade in 2011, which decided to conduct an anti-dumping mid-term review of glyphosate originating in China because of the complaint. The party submitted sufficient materials to prove that the anti-dumping duties currently imposed are insufficient to offset the damage caused by dumping.

Brazil’s Trade Protection Bureau is planning to select the EU as an alternative country to determine the normal value of the product under investigation in this case. Stakeholders should identify themselves with the Pakistani investigation authority within 20 days from the date of publication of the announcement, and the questionnaire should be submitted to the Brazilian Trade Protection Agency within 40 days.

Since 2003, the product involved has been subject to anti-dumping duties imposed by Pakistan. The latest tax rate was adjusted on May 25, 2010, and the limit price was US$3.6/kg. When the price was lower than US$3.6/kg, anti-dumping was imposed on the spread. Taxes, but no more than $2.52 per kilogram.
