Aage Hempel receives orders for 10 PSV guides
Aage Hempel has signed a contract with the Dutch De Hoop shipyard to deliver communications navigation equipment for 10 platform supply vessels (PSVs), including Kelvin Hughes' integrated bridge system.
According to reports, the PSV was built for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The first ship is expected to be delivered in early 2015. The remaining 9 ships will be delivered in the following year and a half. The last one is expected to be delivered by the end of 2016. .
The 10 vessels will be built by De Hoop's shipyards in Lobith and Foxhol, the Netherlands, and will be operated in offshore oil and gas fields in the United Arab Emirates, operated by ESNAAD, a subsidiary of the ADNOC Group.
The boat is 65 meters long and 15.8 meters wide, meeting the operational and environmental requirements of the Arabian Gulf. Although the design is primarily for offshore supply, it also offers a variety of marine support services such as standby service and fire protection.
